| Caption | The blue-footed booby Sula nebouxii breeds on the Marietas Islands, at the mouth of Banderas Bay. They breed throughout the year and are well-known for their elaborate courtship behaviour. Tourists can see them on any number of boat tours that visit the Marietas or Los Arcos inside the bay although it is forbidden to go ashore at either location because of the islands’ sanctuary status. |
