Caption | The traditions of the charro or Mexican horseman are strong throughout the State of Jalisco and any public parade or procession in Puerto Vallarta always includes a troupe of men and women, young and old, in full regalia on horseback. They have their own special day in mid September when the parade is followed by a rodeo or charreada. These sort of events are a thrill for tourists, especially those not expecting them, for they are exactly the sort of event that people coming to Mexico hope to see but often don’t. |
